If every country sends a few ambassadors: is it fair to say the Whole World went somewhere? Does the whole world participate in the Olympics? NO, but much sends athletes. This "Thought Poem" (as John - who doesn't mock the Bible - reduces the Bible to) seems to have a fair bit of geography, culture, people, morality, timeline from Adam to Joseph to Moses to Zachariah to basically Jesus.
It is not a horrible sin to fill in the blanks on occasion. John if you want to read it literally (how strange for a liberal) then every monkey, camel, Lama, Whale, Slug, Rock, piece of old cheese. "Moreover, all the earth came to Egypt to Joseph to buy grain, because the famine was severe over all the earth." Sorry Robert, i'm not convinced man was occupying North and South America by Genesis 41:57 (or by 1900 B.C.).
